DAY 1: EUROPE / DELHI

Arrival in Delhi, welcome, transfer and installation in the hotel for a time of rest.

DAY 2 : DELHI
Â
Visit: Old Delhi and New Delhi. Discovery of the immense contrast between the ancient and the modern: The old Delhi, more medieval, built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jehan contrasts with New Delhi, created by the British to become the imperial capital of the subcontinent.

DAY 3 : DELHI / LEH (3510m alt.)
Â
Take off from Delhi. Arrival in Leh, capital of Ladakh, for a rest and acclimatization to the altitude. Visit of the small monastery of Sankar, the Shanti Stupa of the palace of the king of Ladakh (1630) and the market of Leh.

DAY 4 : LEH / THIKSEY / SHEY – HEMIS/ STOK / LEH (3510m alt.)
Â
Early departure for Thiksey or Khirg-Se the “Miniature Potala”. Visit of the 15th century monastery installed on a rocky spur at 3500 meters of altitude.
Continue to Shey (5 km), whose oldest remains, dating from the late tenth century, former capital of Ladakh with a colossal Buddha Maitreya, and beautiful murals.
Excursion to 40 km from Leh, to the monastery of Hemis (1630), the richest, most famous and largest of the country with two temples, then visit the Stok Palace where the royal family lived. Return to Leh.

DAY 5 : LEH / LIKIR / ALCHI / ULE TOKPO ( Leh -Likir -Alchi – Ule tokpo ) at 80 km
Â
A magnificent road to lead you to the monastery of Likir with superb thangkas and paintings. Continuation towards the village of Saspol.
Lunch at the camp of Ule Tokpo, then road towards the monastery of Alchi, masterpiece of the world art.

DAY 6 : ULE TOKPO / LAMAYURU / LEH

Visit of the monastery of Lamayuru (3600 m alt.)
Perched on the side of the mountain, the oldest and largest monastery in Ladakh (11th century), with its monastic community.

DAY 7 : LEH (3510m)/ KARDHONG HILL (5360 m) / NUBRA VALLEY (5 h)
Â
Excursion to the “Valley of Flowers”, on the highest motorable road in the world, climb to Khardung-La.
Arrival in the Nubra Valley in the early afternoon and continuation to Panamik, the most remote of the villages authorized for tourism.

DAY 10 : LEH/ TSO MORIRI LAKE (4522 m alt.)
Â
Drive to Lake Moriri (7 hours through breathtaking landscapes). Visit of the magnificent monastery of Stakna. Arrival at Lake Tso Moriri with its deep blue brackish water and free time to enjoy the magnificent landscape.

DAY 11 : MORIRI LAKE- TANGLANGLA PASS (5328 m alt.)
Â
Return to Leh, free time to do your last shopping, stroll in theg or stroll in the beautiful streets.

DAY 12 : LEH / DELHI
Â
Morning transfer to the airport. LEH-DELHI by plane. Visit of Delhi. (2h wash & change).
